Craig McConnell

 

Film and television composer, record producer and songwriter Craig (Robert) McConnell has scored 10 feature films playing in theatres in over 50 countries. You can also hear his music worldwide in more than 4000 episodes of television and 10 television movies. In 2019, Craig produced and co-wrote "The Chase" for Celine Dion's album Courage. In 2018, he landed two Top 20 Billboard radio hits with artist Kayla Diamond (Cadence/Universal). Other artist collaborators have included Keshia Chante (Tanjola/Universal), Crystal Kay (Epic/Sony Japan), Jane Zhang (Sony Music China), CHEMISTRY (DefStar/Sony) and Juno-winner Divine Brown.

His film scoring credits include numerous series for Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and Corus/Nelvana. He’s currently working on the animated series BOSSY BEAR, executive produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard. 2023 Saw Craig working with Capcom on the reboot of RESIDENT EVIL 4 the game, where he composed the end credit title song “The Bullet or the Blade”.

In 2012, he was nominated for "Best Music" at the 2012 British Independent Film Festival (BIFF) Awards for his work on Irvine Welsh's Ecstasy. McConnell holds a B.A.Sc from the University of Toronto (Engineering Science) and served two terms on the Board of Directors of the Screen Composers Guild of Canada. He is also the President of the Production Music company hard Music Design.
