Stock Characters Premiers at DOXA

Stock Characters - "The Cooking Show", a documentary by Elaine Carol, brings together a diverse group of indigenous and immigrant youth to create a play based on a satire of the Japanese cult cooking show Iron Chef.

All the music in the film, and the original play, was written and produced by Core artists Ndidi Cascade, Bonnie Soon & Jason Overy and Kaoru Matsushita who all come from the MISCELLANEOUS Productions label. Catch the world premiere this Friday, May 11th at Pacific Cinémathèque, during Vancouver's DOXA festival.
