Science of Defiance

Emerging from the forests of British Columbia, Canada at the Shambhala music festival, comes an electronica movement, a revival, a resistance to the mainstream media, and a philosophy: The Science of Defiance. At the forefront of this movement: the two stage directors of The Rock Pit stage at the Shambhala music festival.

For those unfamiliar with the Rock Pit, it is one of six stages at Shambhala music festival, a 10 000 attendee international fest held annually in the B.C. Kootenays, that pumps beats for five nights and four days straight. With over 15 years of Rock n' Roll under their belts and a strong sense of Defiance, Joshua Zawaduk and Gwilym Taylor set out to defy even themselves, turning their focus to producing pounding beats and manipulated melodies. With their multi instrumental talents and their conviction for composition, the music of Science of Defiance truly defies.
